Mr. Dan Lombardo - Guidance & Special Education Chairperson Tel: 516-622-6440 Mr. Lombardo has a Master of Science, Special Education, from Dowling College, an Advanced Graduate Certificate in Educational Leadership from Stony Brook University, has been teaching in the Carle Place Middle School/High School for the past eleven years and has been the Middle School/High School Mentoring Coordinator for the past three years. Mr. Lombardo also was the Interim Secondary School Administrator from October 2012 until January 2013. |
Ms. Leah Lugovina- Lead Counselor G-O 11th & 12th Grade llugovina@cps.k12.ny.us Leah Lugovina is currently in her 13th year at Carle Place High School. After receiving her Bachelors Degree in psychology and sociology from The City University Of New York at Queens College, she was hired as a CUNYCAP graduate student to work with undergraduates seeking academic and personal counseling. She received her Masters Degree in Education from Queens College and most recently an Advanced Graduate Certificate in Educational Leadership from Stony Brook University. She is also the advisor of our Diversity Club, Co-advisor for the Class of 2016, AP Coordinator, coordinator of the high school peer mediation program and maintains the department's web page. |

After receiving her Master's Degree in Counseling from C.W. Post on Long Island, Mrs. Jacoby was fortunate to be hired by Carle Place School District. She has worked here for the past 17 years and enjoys every minute of it. Working with students of all ability levels is challenging and filled with excitement. Mrs. Jacoby is the Co-Advisor for the National Honor Society and College Board Coordinator of Students with Disabilities. In particular, Mrs. Jacoby loves working with her students during the grueling college exploration process. It is a time of great anticipation and growth. |
