Student Support Services |
Services for students with special needs are available. These include the following: counseling, speech and language and special education services. The Committee on Special Education will initiate referrals for students suspected of being disabled. Psychological, educational, social and medical data will be collected to help determine the status of each child and the appropriate educational placement. In addition, Pre-K children can receive an evaluation for special services. The Carle Place School District, to be in compliance with the State Education Department regulations, conducts an annual census to identify all children with special education needs who reside in the district.
